Termites, often referred to as ‘white-ants,’ are soft-bodied insects ranging from 4 to 11mm in length. Their relentless foraging behavior drives them to seek food constantly, allowing them to infiltrate properties and furniture through gaps as small as a business card’s width. Effective anti-termite treatment is crucial in Sri Lanka’s tropical climate, where termites can easily damage properties and furniture. Our team provides professional inspections and tailored treatment options to eliminate termite infestations and prevent future damage.
A comprehensive inspection of your property is vital before tackling any termite infestation. This process identifies the termite species present and assesses the severity of the infestation. Based on the inspection results, we provide tailored recommendations and treatment options designed to address your specific situation. Our termite control services in Sri Lanka aim to eliminate active termites and implement preventive measures to avoid future infestations.
Before starting treatment, our team conducts a thorough inspection to identify the termite species and assess infestation severity. Based on the results, we recommend and implement tailored solutions to eliminate termites and prevent re-infestation. We also offer ant extermination services to tackle other common pests promptly.
There are over 3,000 species of termites globally, with more than 40 species found in Sri Lanka. Despite their diversity, termites share similar characteristics. They typically measure between 4 to 15 millimeters in length and have soft bodies with straight antennae. The queens and kings are larger, growing up to 3 centimeters long. Their color ranges from white to light orange or brown, with worker termites being lighter and swarming termites darker. Reproductive termites have wings and are easily recognized by their two pairs of small, equal-sized wings.
Why Pre-Construction Termite Treatment is Important
Subterranean termites can enter buildings through soil and concealed structural gaps without being noticed for a long period. Once the building is completed, treating certain areas can become difficult and may require drilling or other invasive methods.
Pre-construction treatment allows the soil beneath and around the building to be treated systematically before the floor slab and other finishing work are completed.
Before treatment, our technical team assesses the site, building layout, soil and construction stage to determine the appropriate treatment areas, method, chemical concentration, and required volume.
After the required backfilling and soil compaction work is completed and before the ground-floor slab is laid, the plinth area is treated.
The exposed soil around foundation areas is treated with an approved termiticide at the recommended application rate. Where required, drilling is carried out along the relevant wall/foundation areas at approximately 3-foot intervals, followed by controlled pressure injection of the termiticide into the soil.
The external soil surrounding the building is treated along the foundation/perimeter to create a continuous chemical barrier.
This treatment helps reduce the possibility of termites bypassing the treated internal soil areas and entering the building from the surrounding ground.
Pre-Installed Chemical Recharging System (Advanced Anti-Termite Reticulation System)
The Anti-Termite Reticulation System is the most advanced termite prevention method now available in Sri Lanka. Instead of drilling into your floors or walls, a network of specially designed TermiPore pipes is installed beneath your floor slab and around your building’s foundation during the construction phase. These pipes contain thousands of tiny micro holes that allow termicide to seep evenly into the surrounding soil, creating a complete and unbroken chemical barrier against termites.
When a treatment top-up is needed, our technician simply connects to the external junction box and injects the termicide through the pipe network – no drilling, no disruption, and no mess to your home. The system is concealed, long-lasting, safe for your family and pets, and manufactured to ISO 9001:2015 certified quality standards. It is the ideal solution for anyone building a new home who wants permanent, worry-free protection from the very start.
Pre-Construction Soil Treatment
Pre-construction termite treatment is a preventive soil treatment carried out during the construction stage to create a chemical barrier between the soil and the building structure. This helps reduce the risk of subterranean termites entering the building through soil, foundations, floors, and other concealed entry points.
We provide professionally planned pre-construction termite treatment based on the building design, soil condition, construction stage, and site requirements.
Post-construction termite treatment is carried out on existing building, including properties with concrete floors, tiled floors, and other completed floor finishes, to control and prevent subterranean termite entry.
Our technical team inspects the building, identifies termite activity and potential entry points, and determines the appropriate treatment method based on the building structure and site conditions.
Where required, controlled drilling is carried out through the relevant floor/wall areas at approximately 3-foot intervals, followed by pressure injection of an approved termiticide into the soil. The external soil around the building perimeter is also treated to create a continuous chemical barrier.
Treatment methods are selected based on the building structure, floor type, soil condition, termite activity, and accessibility.
Liquid Barrier Treatment
We drill along the wall joints of tiled, cemented, concrete, or terrazzo floors at 3–5 feet intervals and pressure-inject termiticides into the soil beneath the floor slab.
We drill along exterior walls at 3–5 feet intervals and inject termiticides into the soil to create an effective chemical barrier around the building’s foundation.
Our expert team is dedicated to providing the highest level of service, ensuring effective and sustainable termite control solutions for properties across Sri Lanka.
